Wonderful dinner! Had the red curry tonight which was amazing! Started with the Golden cups another great option! Service was very good. Everyone seemed to be helping each other! The Thai iced tea was so good! Will definitely eat here often!

I love Thai food but this place was far below my expectations. After reading other reviews we thought everything would be wonderful. We ordered the BBQ chicken, BBQ short ribs and pad kee mow. Upon ordering the pad kee now, we told the waitress that we did not want mint in our order. She assertively said there was no mint only basil, which we were ok with. Our server said that since I was going to share my plate I had to be charged extra. After dropping off the extra plate she never came back. When our food came out it was full of mint, when we had specified NO MINT, and had no noodles only onions. The BBQ chicken and short ribs were decent however when you order a noodle dish, you expect it to have noodle in it. Since we could never find our waitress in the restaurant filled with three tables including ours, we found another waitress who took care of us. We didn't use the extra plate that our original waitress had dropped off and the new waitress took off the extra charge for that empty plate. Overall, not the best experience that I have had at a Thai restaurant. The food could have definitely been better especially when we specified that we did not want mint. I would have rated higher but our original waitress was never to be found and incorrectly completed our order.

Very tasty Thai food and reasonable too ! The yellow curry is as good as my favorite Thai restaurant in Pasadena, Ca so not missing it now. They make these bbq egg rolls that are amazing and so far all the traditional dishes have been delicious . Oh and the noodles supreme are another standout ...

I have been eating at this restaurant for over 16 years now. It's my family's goto place for comfort Tai food. My favorite dish is the D6, Mongolian Beef Combo. It comes with a cup of the wonton soup, thinly sliced flat iron steak, shrimp and scallops in a wonderful savory Tai sauce, fried rice, spring rolls served with sweet plum sauce and homemade coconut ice cream for dessert. A heck of a feast at a great price!

My husband and I have been regulars here since before we were married, a good 15+ years ago, and we love the food! I can honestly say that it's stayed very consistent over the years, and when we're in the mood for Thai, we can count on this restaurant to deliver! Some of our personal favorites are the Thai BBQ rolls, mongolian beef (try in the combo, for a nice variety of extras), the hot and sour soup, pinapple fried rice, and the homemade coconut ice cream. While it's probably not the best environment for a date night, due to the open table arrangement and the brighter lighting, it's great for going out with the whole family, or a group of friends!

Heard great things about this restaurant but we were sadly disappointed. Food was very bland with an almost a tex-mex-Thai style (jalapeños in a spicy coconut soup) - we gave it a try but not up to Thai food standards. I have traveled in Thailand and love Thai food. Will not go here again.

Excellent Food. The best Thai food we'be had in years. The spicing is very good. I wish this restaurant was in our town.

When I think about Thai food, the first thing that comes to my mind is the coconut curry. My favorite Thai dish!!! I came to Thai BBQ two times and had curry in both. First I had the green curry with shrimp that was on the lunch special menu... I think it cost $7.50... Pretty decent for what I got, and the curry was delicious, especially with the bamboo shoots and the green peas!!!!! Second time I had the red curry from the dinner menu... I didn't notice any difference in portion sizes comparing to the lunch size, maybe it was a little bigger, I don't remenber, but it was equally delightful!!! I can lick my plate after eating a coconut curry dish!!! Service was a little slow, but nothing to complain about... The servers were friendly and this counts the most!!!

Really nice place for a thia dish nice staff !! One of the top thia places to eat in grants pass !!

Friendly staff always greeting you as you walk in. I love the spicy chicken coconut soup. They also have great combo plates which you get a dish of coconut ice cream.

Food was a 4.5/5, service was a 3.5/5. Very Waiters are very casual and nice and let you wait to order - only one mixup. One of us asked for water instead of more iced tea, they came and poured a water refill for one of us but forgot the water instead of iced tea - as they were walking off we asked if we could get more water but they may not have heard. They came back and poured more tea, instead of water; overall 4/5! =]

Very bland for Thai food. Disappointed. Service was just ok. One server was nice, but the other was clearly unhappy to be there. Food prep should not be done in the dining room.

Quick, cheap, and reasonable food for the price. Not bad, but nothing that will blow you away. Despite the name, lots of vegetarian options. Friendly service. I'd go back for a quick bite.

The food was great. I had the spicy fried rice sea food. Very large portions . Service was a little slow but the were packed.

Really a great place to eat or get take out! The red curry w coconut milk is one of my favorites, also mongolian beef is great! Very good noodle dishes and lots of options for the vegetarian or carnivore! We had the fresh spring rolls last week they were very good.

Chicken Pad thai was alright, came with all the usual toppings, but kind of bland. The spare ribs were loved by the man. Fried rice also sorta bland. Prices were ok, they do give you large amounts.

I really enjoyed this place for lunch. Great lunch deals ($6.50) and my dish was flavorful. I had the Chicken Red Curry with Green Beans. It was described as spicy and, while it would be for most people, it was just a little hot for me. They also provided additional eat consumers so no complaints there. Friendly service, nice atmosphere, and very good food.

Being new to the area, I must say this place is great. Coming from Chicago where there is a lot of Thai food, this place holds up well. Service is always good and friendly and even when I'm in a hurry, the food is fast and fresh. I eat here about 3 times a week so that must say something :)

not impressed. What we got was basically food court chinese food. The folks couldn't have been nicer, but the food we could take or leave.
(2)Kate P.
The peanut sauce for the chicken wasn't the best, but it wasn't bad either. Other than that I have no food complaints. Meal size was just right, and a good, tasty variety. Decent prices, good atmosphere, and friendly service. Will definitely have to try something else there!

I came in 10 minutes after closing (I didn't notice the time and they hadn't locked the doors yet.) They were very nice and made me some chicken phad thai takeaway. The place was clean and smelled nice as well. She brought me an "on the house" appetizer while I waited, the food came quickly and I was on my way. The food was standard quality for the southern oregon area, good enough to eat all of it, nothing spectacular but nothing wrong with it. An added bonus: the chopsticks were short enough to fit completely inside the takeaway container when I was done.
(4)Tiffany C.
Since it was my first time there I can't give too many stars. But the food was good and very filling. The only complaint I have is the waitress only came by once to refill our drinks. And there was only two other tables to wait on.

this is one of our favorite places for takeout food. They always get it right, and still hot by the time I get home. the people are friendly, and they have my boy's favorite crab fried rice.

Usually I like Thai BBQ. I've been going for years. But the last time I went they ignored me and my friend to talk to someone who came in just to say hi. Then when we got our food, half was warm and half was cold. My friend asked if it was microwaved. They admitted it had been. They said if we wanted something else we would be charged for both meals or they would be happy to stick what we already had in the microwave again. We opted to leave and eat somewhere else, but they made us pay for the meals that we didn't eat. Never coming back here again.

Thai Bbq has been a Grants Pass favorite for years. Thai Bbq rolls are awesome, and a favorite appetizer. You can substitute them in the combinations at no extra cost. We enjoy the combination meals quite a bit. The soup is tasty and the combinations are well suited. All of the barbecued meats we've tried are delicious. I love the noodles with broccoli and peanut sauce. As others have mentioned, the coconut ice cream is out of this world.

It's Grants Pass and our expectations have been lowered some since moving from the SF. Bay Area. The food is good and the service is very friendly. We are always looking for good places to eat in the Grants Pass area but they are few and far between. Sooo, with that said Thai-bbq is the best Thai in town. I have taken several friends there and everyone has nothing but good to say about the place. I would recommend you try if for yourself. BBQ spring rolls are the bomb. The only place in town that charges for soda refills, what's up with that?????
(4)Teresa S.
Every time we have company from out of town we always take them to Thai BBQ and everyone loves it! One friend commented that he would have licked his plate if he could have gotten away with it. Great lunch specials. I have never had one thing there that wasn't good. Coconut ice cream? To die for!
(4)David B.
Overall the food is varied and tasty. There were 7 of us there last night, and I got to try several dishes. The pineapple fried rice with Shrimp and Chicken is wonderful. The monogolian beef is a bit too sweet and sugary for my taste, but very flavorful. The staff is perky and upbeat, and fun to be around. A rather plain looking place, where you bring your own "atmosphere". I am a fan of this place. Well priced dishes, and a staff that seems to care how they keep the place and how they interact with the customers. And I agree with the coconut ice cream review of the previous review. Very tasty, and not the usual syrupy sweet stuff you normally get More like frozen coconut milk.

I dined alone, so I only tried one dish. It was a salad of iceberg lettuce topped with a saucy concoction of ground pork, peanuts, shredded ginger and carrots in equal quantities, and plenty of chilies. It was VERY hot and very tasty, and something I haven't seen on other menus. The service was friendly and good, the prices were very reasonable, and the coconut ice cream was terrific, and only $1.50 for a scoop. I would definitely go back.

Pretty much your typical Thai restaurant. Food was great, service was great, portions were great. Everything was great :) Nothing particularly stands out. Nothing bad to say. We were one of the regulars at the restaurant :)
(4)Linda H.
We eat here regularly and appreciate the freshness of everything on the menu. I love the green curry and the spicy coconut soup. Every vegetable is as fresh as can be and I haven't had anything bad. I am a vegetarian so won't comment on the meat dishes. Wait staff are friendly and location is convenient. It's true there's little to zip ambience but that's not a big deal to me. Very clean, very tasty, very fresh. All big deals to me.
(4)Lindsey C.
It's really not that great of Thai food, but it's Grants Pass, so that's to be expected. But the girls that work there are incredibly nice and the service is great. They do have really good cocunut ice cream, which is really the best thing on the menu. Also, their lunch specials are really a good deal.

I've spent some time in Thailand, but I never had a basil eggplant as good as TBBQ makes it. Killer green curry too. Mind you I haven't been to Grants Pass in a few years, but last time I was there their food was amazing.

If there's ever such a thing as cafeteria Thai food, this is it.
